OUR STORY

Angels & Allies began as an idea in 2013 when Leisis began her journey into healing from her past, and becoming what she calls "The activated leader of my life."

It all began with a Sunday morning routine she created for herself in an effort to connect with, explore, and discover who she truly was. She went to the beach at sunrise where she reflected, practiced mindfulness, meditated, and set her inventions for the upcoming week. The effects were visible. When her friends began noticing the positive changes in her mood, and overall well being, they began joining her on the beach. What she found was a support system made the difficult moments more bearable.

The friends became what we refer to as "Angels" to lift each other up, and the skills they learned from each other became our "Allies".

In 2018, Angels & Allies was officially born, offering our community opportunities for self-development, self-empowerment, healing, support, and a pathway to self-fulfillment.

THE FOUNDER

Hola hermanita,

I'm Leisis, and I am the Chief Empowerment Officer here at Angels & Allies. I wear many hats. Likely, that is something we have in common. I am a Mom, a lover, a nuturer, professionl, friend, creator, and life-long learner who has a passion for empowering, inspiring, and motivating others.

With what I have learned from nearly 20 years in the medical field, and my lived experience as a female with a history of anxiety and depression in today's world, I understand the importance of providing girls with agency, creating deliberate opportunities to develop and maintain self-esteem, and promote self-acceptance for overall life satisfaction.

My core belief is that self-acceptance is essential for happiness, and this is the driving force behind the programs that teach kids to honor their individuality, grow, and thrive.

I look forward to knowing and connecting with you as we create new programs and opportunities that will help empower our next generation with real tools for real life.
